The company is running global delivery network and hosting data in the
Amazon Cloud. Our solutions are based on modern technologies Java/Scala,
Node.js, MongoDB, ElasticSearch. Cloud based services are running on Linux
Amazon instances (Cent-OS like) connected with a network of distributed nodes
hosted in datacenters around the Globe, running Linux and Windows.

 

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual looking to pursue a
career in Linux administration and maintaining the link between software
development and IT Services.

 

Key Responsibilities

• installation and administration of Linux server systems and software

• support and maintenance of Production/UAT systems

• deployment of clustered WEB applications

• troubleshooting Java applications

• close cooperation with development and QA teams

• active assistance in planning development of Linux network applications

 

Specialist Knowledge\Experience

Essential:

• 2+ years of experience as Linux Administrator in IT companies

• strong knowledge of OSI model and network protocols

• strong skills in Linux administration, understanding of OS-type dependant features

• consistent approach to diagnosis and troubleshooting software and hardware malfunctions

• good level of Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Jetty web servers maintenance

• acquaintance with virtualization solutions (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon AMI)

• basic skills in shell scripting

• ability to document your work and write guides

• English: speaking level - intermediate, writing level – intermediate

Desirable:

• experience in DBA (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Postgresql, SQLite)

• experience in Amazon AWS services administration

• 1+ year of experience in Software development company

• experience in troubleshooting applications written in Java
