Small Capacity and High Integrity

The ZXA10 C320 is a small-capacity OLT with 2 U height. It is compatible with all C300 line cards, including xPON cards, P2P cards, and TDM cards.

  • It has front outlets with 300 mm depth and 2 U height.
  • It has two line card slots and two main control card slots. The C320 line cards are compatible with all C300 lines cards.
  • It supports DC power input an AC power input. The DC power input supports active and standby redundancy, while the AC power input supports battery backup redundancy.
  • Its fan sub-rack is hot-swappable.

Multi-play Service Access

The ZXA10 C320 system provides the following services to satisfy the all-service access requirement of the common and business subscribers:

  • A new-generation high-speed upstream and downstream data service access
  • VoIP service access
  • IPTV or the third wavelength CATV video service access
  • CES-based TDM E1 service access

Excellent Performance and High Integrity

In full consideration of the application and evolution of optical access, the ZXA10 C320 system has the following features:

  • High-bandwidth multi-plane architecture
  • 10G bus, N x 10GE interface upstream
  • All-system blockless switching with the physical bandwidth of 260G of the backplane data bus
  • Each shelf accessing 1 024 (splitting ratio 1:64) ONTs

Strong L2 and VLAN

The system supports the following strong L2 and VLAN functions to meet the requiremetns for networking planning and application:

  • 32 K MAC address, which can be extended to be 256 K MAC address table
  • 802.1QVLAN,
  • VLAN tan/untag, VLAN transparent transmission, VLAN translation, 1:1 VLAN, N:1 VLAN convergence, VLAN priority marking, VLAN filtering, etc.
  • VLAN stacking in compliance with IEEE 802.1ad,
  • Strengthening VLAN functions, like selective QinQ

Complete L3 Functions

ZXA10 C320 supports L3 switch status to meet the operators’ L3 networking requirements. It forwards the IP packets to the next device according to the destination IP and by querying the IP routing table. IP routing table supports static configuration, or can be dynamically obtained through RIP/OSPF/ISIS protocols.

Strong Multicast Capability

ZXA10 C320 has strong multicast capability as follows:

  • Perfect IGMP/snooping/proxy/router protocols, supporting MLD snooping/proxy/router
  • Distributed multicast processing mechanism with excellent multicast capacity and performance of the OLT and the ONU
  • Perfect controllable multicast function with the unique built-in ZTE multicast management and control modules
  • Various user authentication mode to meet the operators’ requirement for high-quality IPTV

Complete QoS Control

ZXA10 C320 supports perfect QoS control as follows:

  • Integrated dynamic broadband allocation (DBA), priority control, multi-traffic classification mechanism, multi-queue scheduling, etc
  • SLA, to implement port-port QoS security for different services access
  • Three levels of H-QoS control based on the service provider, the user and the service to meet the QoS requirements of the open access network

Strong TDM

The system provides E1/T1/STM-N interfaces for traditional services on the basic Packet Switch Network Structure (PSN) in the PWE3 mode of IETF. It supports RFC 5086 (CESoPSN) encapsulation modes. It meets the operators’ requirements for extending the service ranges to provide TDM service with the minimum cost.

Complete Time and Clock Synchronization

The system provides SyncE to implement time and clock synchronization to provide flexible and various time synchronization modes for the operators and to meet the networking and service requirements for movable backhaul, etc.

IPv6-Oriented Network Bearing Capability

The system supports IPv4 and IPv6 dual stack, IPv6 service processing and forwarding, and QoS based on IPv6. It also supports IPv6 multicast service bearing, line identifiers based on IPv6 and network security, and IPv6 network management to meet the operator’s requirements for smooth network and service evolvement to IPv6.

Comprehensive Security Protection

The system adopts multiple-layer security technology to effectively prevent DOS attack and IP/MAC spoofing for comprehensive protection for different service access as follows:

  • Triple churning
  • AES 128 data encryption
  • User/port isolation
  • Broadcast and packet impression
  • MAC address/IP address protection
  • Port binding
  • L2/L3 ACL

Environment-friendly Features

With the low power consumption design, CO and CPE series are leading in the energy saving. The design complies with Europe COC, RoHS and relative energy saving and environment protection requirements.

Carrier-class Reliability

The system provides carrier-class reliability as follows:

  • The key parts of the system, including the main control card, the power card, the management card, work in active/standby mode or in redundant mode.
  • All cards are hot swappable.
  • Fully distributed power supply, and independent power module for each card ensure the reliability.
  • PON layer supports protection protocols, including TYPE B/C protection, upstream link support EAPS/UAPS/LACP.
  • As the ODN is a passive component, it does not influenced by power supply, electromagnetic field, storms and thunders, and climate. It is free of maintenance.

GPON/EPON/10G EPON/PTP/NGPON Integrated Platform

The CO equipment is GPON/EPON/10G EPON/PTP integrated platform, which evolves to NGPON. The MDU/MTU terminal supports GPON/EPON/10G EPON/PTP flexible configuration upstream. It provides flexible access modes and smooth upgrade according to the technology development, service demands, network construction investments, etc.

Complete Optical Line Fault Diagnosis

The system supports OLS optical link detection function and PON-layer related alarm detection, and Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) optical network fault analysis system. It can detect the ODN optical line optical fiber attenuation, the connector power consumption, the optical fiber length and the position information of the optical fault position. It has complete fault detection and fault analysis location function to effectively decrease OPEX.

User-friendly Network Management

The NetNumen U31 NMS implements uniform management on ZXA10 xPON CO series and CPEs, and provides user-friendly graphic interfaces and various management modes including SNMP/CLI/Telnet/LCT. It supports fault isolation, alarm and performance monitoring, various loopback control functions and PON-connected views with simplified management. It supports the uniform platform management with other ZTE network devices to simplify the NMS. It provides abundant northbound interfaces to realize electronic flow and unified panning management of the whole-network resources.
