Performances with Ukrainian networks are pretty decent in general. $ iperf3 -c iperf.volia.net -P1 -i 5 Connecting to host iperf.volia.net, port 5201 [ 4] local 176.36.0.0 port 56870 connected to 82.144.193.18 port 5201 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth Retr Cwnd [ 4] 0.00-5.00 sec 51.3 MBytes 86.1 Mbits/sec 75 103 KBytes [ 4] 5.00-10.00 sec 50.6 MBytes 85.0 Mbits/sec 82 73.5 KBytes - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth Retr [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 102 MByte

Yes, it may even work with Microsoft Internet Exporer. But there are people who are not willing to run trash on their computer and I'm part of them.

The Javascript is broken, cannot even click on "BEGIN TEST". See, https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fbeta.speedtest.net%2F%23&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 302 errors, dozens of unclosed tags and syntax error. How do you want to take this seriously? That would also only concern 2. - All other points are still valid. I also don't understand why you are using this trash, is wget that hard to use?

Ok, I think I'll quit here. I was expecting to find respectable savvies here, not script-kiddies. Quite a disappointment. Thanks @oles and @Melanxolik for the constructive posts though.

That's an example of a single socket connection with wget. $ wget -O /dev/null http://paris.cdn.mediactive-network.net/speedtest/5000Mo.dat-4 /dev/null 0%[ ] 7.26M 396KB/s eta 2h 7m The same target with 5 simultaneous connections: $ aria2c -x5 http://paris.cdn.mediactive-network.net/speedtest/5000Mo.dat-d /dev -o null --allow-overwrite=true --file-allocation=none [#8e3975 122MiB/4.6GiB(2%) CN:5 DL:2.0MiB ETA:37m58s] PS: Traffic to this host is routed via fiord.net (AS50499) which seems to be their most congested link.

No I cannot use this. 1. It requires a web browser. 2. It requires Flash. I'm never going to install Flash Player on my machine. 3. It opens multiple connections simultaneously (4 iirc). 4. It's proprietary, no documentation, no sources.

Hi, I'm not sure to understand, I've posted a couple of traceroutes and throughput tests using tcp/http from various remote hosts using wget. You can find them in my posts on this topic.
-
Do you have anything constructive to write but your insults? If no then I'd appreciate that you stay out of this discussion.
-
It was a reaction to his attempt to write a sentence in English. Furthemore I did not know that this is a forum about Russian language. I thought that it was about networks in Ukraine.
-
Hi, I'm not using any wireless device There are several traceroutes in the topic's feed. All the tests were down with ingress traffic. I will test out the egress a little bit later and post the results here.

I'm studying Russian every day. Учи английский, пригодится. Too easy...
-
Why? It just feels like you simply do not like this information/topic to be discussed publicly.
-
I'm not expecting to resolve that issue on this forum, I'm just raising awareness and discussing it. Can you explain what's eccentric in this? As mentioned several times, I'm still waiting for comment from lanet.ua. Yet nothing. I've also posted on https://rada.lanet.ua/but posts are subject to moderation and so far my topic has not showed up.

I'm a bit surprised by the amount of stupid posts, I thought that discussions were kind of constructive on that bbs. It's unlikely that it's just the local channel. If you icmp ping 194.60.69.121 which is the host for www.lanet.ua from a remote location you will see that even this is unstable. It's 9:34 p. m. and that's what I'm getting: $ ping 194.60.69.121 PING 194.60.69.121 (194.60.69.121) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 194.60.69.121: icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=77.9 ms 64 bytes from 194.60.69.121: icmp_seq=2 ttl=57 time=77.8 ms 64 bytes from 194.60.69.121: icmp_seq=3 t

That's already done. I'm not asking for a "guaranteed channel", I'm asking for something that's decent. As it's also stated I don't mind to pay an extra for a decent connectivity. I don't speak Russian well enough, are you that intolerant? Yes. I had Kyivstar before which was worse than Lanet. -- Can someone recommend an acceptable provider in Akademgorodok? I'm interested in 10Mbit/s tx/rx Dual Stack IPv4+IPv6.

I know very well that they are doing this on purpose because they cannot increase pricing and I have nothing against that. The problem is that they are pretending to provide that and at the moment the congestions are so bad that I can barely keep alive an ssh session, at this point I think it's quite abusive and Lanet should not be advertising such thing. They could limit the international bandwidth to a few Mbit/s I would not mind as long as they don't do marketing scam and keep the channels unjammed. Also I'm not against paying a bit more for quality, unfortunately it seems that

Здравствуйте, Извините меня но я буду писать на англйиском языке I have an Internet access from lanet.ua, for the past month I've been monitoring an almost constant congestion of pretty much all links that Lanet has with the outside world. During peak hours this even result in a huge increase of RTT and packet loss in transit. I wanted to post the following on https://rada.lanet.ua/but the forum is moderated and I doubt that they allow this for publishing, therefore I'm posting it here. I find it disturbing that I cannot find many discussion about this. It's also obvious
