The ServeRAID-8s Battery (39R8812) enhances the ServeRAID-8s, providing protection of data being written to disk during an unexpected power outage.

ServeRAID-8s is supported for internal HDD attach in hot swap SAS/SATA models of System x3200 and x3250 by attaching a system unique cable to the ServeRAID-8s Internal SAS ports to the system backplane.

For x3250 and x3200 Hot Swap SATA/SAS models, optional HS SAS/SATA-8s Cable 43W4908 is required for connection to ServeRAID-8s.

For x3200 Simple Swap models, optional SS SATA-8s Cable 43W4910 is required for connection to ServeRAID-8s.
